Announcing the For Bloggers By Bloggers 30 Day WordPress Workout Program

WordPress training videos

WordPress training videos

This post originally appeared on the For Bloggers By Bloggers blog resource centre.

One of the things we?ve always tried to do at For Bloggers By Bloggers is offer you the most relevant and helpful information to help you grow your blog.

We?d like to think that our tips and posts are helpful, and have helped you get more results from your own blogging goals, whatever they may be.

However, going by emails we?ve received and comments left on various posts, it?s clear that we also have a lot of new bloggers in our audience, or people that are looking to start blogging ? the problem is, they don?t know how.

While there are many reasons shared, the biggest one is ?How do I start a blog and which platform do I choose??.

Taking that into consideration, and being that all our team are die-hard fans of the WordPress platform, we?ve created a special course to help you, the new or prospective blogger.

Introducing the For Bloggers by Bloggers 30 Day WordPress Workout Program?!

So How Does It Work?

While written blogs are great for sharing advice, more often than not people react better and learn more from visual aids. It?s why we?ve produced graphics and videos in the past to help get a certain point across.

With that in mind, we?ve created a comprehensive 20-part video series that will take you through the complete WordPress experience when starting your blog.

From choosing which version of WordPress to use, to understanding how custom menus operate, to working with themes, plugins, multiple users and more, the For Bloggers By Bloggers 30 Day WordPress Program? is designed with you in mind.

We?ll help you choose the right option, get set up, choose a theme, help decide the best plugins for your blog, and much, much more.

As well as the 20-part video series, we?ll be providing you with free ebooks to complement the videos, as well as set up a support area (optional membership) for ?What Next?? questions.

Who?s It For?

As I mentioned earlier, we have a lot of new bloggers, and bloggers-to-be, in our audience. We also have bloggers that are on other blog platforms, but are curious about making the switch to WordPress.

This video series is for you.

It will help you understand the benefits of WordPress, and all the bells and whistles behind the scenes of the WordPress dashboard.

Complemented by our ebooks and membership section, the video series will really help you become a fully fledged WordPress blogger in 30 days or less (of course, this depends on the time you can allocate).

And, we?ll still be posting all our usual blog tips here at For Bloggers By Bloggers for you to take advantage of, and use on your newly-created WordPress blog.

How Much Will It Cost?

The full 20-part video series and ebooks will have a price of $67. However, there will be a special introductory price of $37 at launch, and you can sign up using the form at the end of this post to be alerted to the release, and receive your FBBB discount code to get the $37 price.

Additionally, we may be releasing each video in the series individually, so you can pick and choose which modules are best for your needs. Pricing on this is still to be confirmed, but expect them to be around the $5 price per video.

Membership fees will be low, and we?re looking at how best to serve you ? and also how to make sure your membership (if you decide to join that area) is really valuable to you.

So, we?d be offering strategies, offers, partners and more that we?d normally charge consultancy fees for, but for our member area, these costs will be greatly reduced.

Again, we want to make sure we have this nailed down so you really get a valuable offering, so we?ll announce that pricing soon as well, but expect it to be low, around the $20 per month range.

And for those interested in making some money, we?ll also have an affiliate program with 40% shared revenue on any program sold!

Ready to Get Blogging?

With all that having been said, here?s a taster video of the course series. The full 20-part version follows this format and, as you can see, is very easy to follow and clearly laid out. We’ll be announcing the full line-up of topics soon!

We want to make sure you don?t get lost with a bunch of buzzwords and technical talk ? after all, that?s not why you?d be interested in this series!

We hope to see you there when we launch, and make sure you sign up below for updates on when the For Bloggers By Bloggers 30 Day WordPress Workout? is launched and to get your special discount code!

Addressing the Pain Points of Social Media for Small to Medium Business Owners (Video)

Social media pain points

While social media use is beginning to see a healthy increase in small business users, there are still many gaps that need to be plugged when it comes to how that use is being strategic.

For most small businesses, the main use of social media was for company awareness in the marketplace. Additionally, customer acquisition is another factor that business owners want to see, but perhaps don’t know how to actually build a strategy around this.

At Jugnoo, one of the ways we’re looking to help these business owners (as well as mid-market customers) is through education, and providing simple toolsets and “hand-holding” along the way (Ken Mueller described us perfectly as a “social media Swiss Army Knife” in a recent post).

This video below – with questions from leading PR practitioner and author Deirdre Breakenridge – shares some of our beliefs and goals for our users, as well as examples of small businesses that are succeeding in social media, and how they’re doing it.

Hopefully it’s useful to you (even with the scary still picture!), and if you’re interested in checking out the Jugnoo platform, you can sign up for the beta here.

Cheers!

A Special Friday Thank You from @JugnooMe to @HootSuite

Thank you from Jugnoo

They say “imitation” is the sincerest form of flattery – in which case, Jugnoo would love to thank our friends over at HootSuite.

Back in April, we came out of closed beta and opened up our platform to 1,000 users in an open beta. To celebrate this jump in status, we created a video in-house that shared an example of one of our users, the Bandit Coffee Group in Toronto.

The video showed how owner Kirk used Jugnoo to be effective on social media – connecting with customers and promoting offers – while still doing all their day-to-day business. Here’s the video below.

Simple. Fun. Clear.

Yesterday, social media dashboard folks HootSuite released a video that “…illustrates just how simple and useful social media can be.”

It uses an example of a bread and coffee place and how the owner connects with customers and promotes offers. Here’s the HootSuite video below:

It’s also simple. Fun. Clear. And the tune is jaunty!

So we’d just like to say thanks, HootSuite – great job and we appreciate the homage! 😉

In fact, we were so enamoured by the video, we sent these cupcakes to Hootsuite?s Vancouver offices ? hope you enjoyed, guys!

Thank you cupcakes from Jugnoo to HootSuite

Connecting Your Brand to Your Customers the Whyte & Mackay Way

Connect to your customers

Connect to your customers

In social media, we often talk about the need to connect to our customers more. Yes, we speak about that outside social media too, but the medium allows us the opportunity to do this better and on a larger scale.

However, saying something and actually doing it are two very different things. It’s all well and good saying, “Let’s connect!”, but implementing isn’t always easy.

Except, it can be.

Every business is a customer – if you’re not thinking like that, you’re already behind. We’re not just providers – we’re recipients of knowledge. The feedback our customers give us should be viewed higher than any financial transaction they give, because that helps us improve, and grow, and understand how we connect better.

Whyte & Mackay understand this. Instead of just buying blanket ads and dead space to fill, they speak of what their customer loves – the experience of being a whisky drinker.

They talk of the smell; the warmth; the delivery. Their words help the customer experience their product to the fullest, and when you enjoy something the way it’s meant to be enjoyed, you want to experience that feeling again. And again. And again.

This video by Whyte & Mackay Master Blender Richard Paterson is the perfect example of how to sell your product while truly connecting with your customer.

It’s fun; informative; no buzz words; and takes pot shots at some industry practices while educating on the reasons why they’re wrong.

Now, while not every brand can deliver a video in this way, it’s a great primer on what works – being yourself and being your customer.

Works for me. You?

Hat-tip Phil Baumann for sending me the video.

The TRUE Power of Influence and Emotional Impact

People talk about influence ? what it is, how to get it, how influence is guided by numbers and how to attract the attention of influencers for promotional needs.

There?s no doubt that influence is a constant hot potato.

But sometimes, influence comes from the strangest of places. Sometimes influence comes from folks we might never look twice at. Sometimes influence comes from nothing but emotion.

Look at this video from Australian Juan Mann. One guy, who started a campaign offering free hugs to try and bring a touch of humanity back to the city of Sydney in his native Australia.

He wasn?t an A-list blogger commanding an audience of thousands. He wasn?t a celebrity with a million-plus Twitter followers. Instead, he was just a guy with an idea built on emotion.

Yet as you can see, not only did he influence folks in his city (as seen by the fast collection of petition signatures), he also influenced millions of people worldwide (almost 73 million and counting on YouTube).

There are also a ton of Free Hugs movements worldwide, both online and offline. All from a single guy?s belief in humanity and emotion.

Funny how influence works, huh?
